My research aims the optimization of culture conditions in xeno-free microcarrier-based bioreactor systems for safe and reproducible large-scale expansion of human mesenchymal stem cells to meet the quantities and standards required for cellular therapy settings. Different culture parameters evaluated include seeding protocol, feeding regimen, operation mode and dissolved oxygen concentration.
