Short Bio

Mafalda Bragança earned a BSc (2019, 15/20) and MSc (2022, 17/20) in Biochemistry at the University of Lisbon, specializing in medical biochemistry. During her studies, she gained research experience in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology and conducted her MSc thesis on ARSACS at BioISI, contributing to a Cells publication. She later worked as a clinical analysis technician at Joaquim Chaves Saúde. In 2023, she was awarded an FCT Doctoral Fellowship and is now pursuing a PhD on miRNA-engineered neural exosomes for Alzheimer's therapy. She has actively participated in scientific events, enhancing her research and communication skills.

Research Focus

Passionate about molecular biology, neurodegenerative diseases, and biotechnology, with a focus on glial cell biology, neuroinflammation, and therapeutic strategies for Alzheimer's disease.
