Mafalda Nunes is a PhD candidate in Bioengineering at Instituto Superior Técnico, specializing in cardiovascular diseases. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Biology from the Faculty of Sciences at the University of Lisbon and completed her Master's degree in Evolutionary and Developmental Biology in 2022 at the same institution. Her current research focuses on the development of cardiac organoid models derived from induced pluripotent stem cells, aiming to elucidate disease mechanisms and provide an innovative platform for the identification of potential therapeutic strategies.
