Mariana Martins is a PhD student in Bioengineering at Instituto Superior Técnico, with a focus in neurodevelopmental disorders. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Aveiro and a Master’s Degree in Applied Pharmacology from the University of Coimbra. Her research currently centers on developing brain organoid models from induced pluripotent stem cells to uncover disease mechanisms and identify potential therapies for rare neurodevelopmental disorders.
