The goal of my PhD is to develop platforms for the production and characterisation of clinical grade stem cell-based therapies with enhanced regenerative potential. I am currently exploring two strategies, the first is the use of Mesenchymal Stem/Stromal Cells (MSC) from different cell sources as a therapy and the second is the use of MSC-derived products, for example conditioned medium and extracellular vesicles, as a cell-based but cell-free therapy.
